Casement Windows

One of the more popular choices for aluminium and UPVC windows, the casement design attaches to a framework by one or more hinges. The mechanism turns the window outward from the property but has many different configurations. Customers can choose casement windows in top-hung or side-hung styles.

Bay and Bow Windows

A bay window only has three openings whereas a bow window has four or five. Both have designs which make them the focal points of a property’s exterior. While a bay window protrudes outward to save interior space, a bow window has more glass panels and can therefore increase the flow of natural light.

Tilt-and-Turn Windows

A tilt-and-turn window is one that works across two different axis, with the tilt axis providing interior room space with ventilation, and the turn axis opening the window wider to provide an escape route in the event of a fire. In the tilt position, the window turns inward but stays fixed at the base.

Sash Windows

Available in single-hung, double-hung and horizontal sliding styles, sash windows have two sashes, or panels, which move up and down, or from side to side, with one sash in front and the other behind. While they have no major swing, a more modern design will tilt inwards and outwards for easier cleaning.

Sash windows have a traditional appearance which makes them particularly suited for installations in conservation areas.
